Can quiten a Dell server?
Dear Sirs'
I have the unfortunate problem of having to do a lot of work on a Dell server. It's so noisey that I have to wear wax wear plugs and even that drives me nuts.
If their a solution too this by replacing the fans? I thought of a Ras connection but would prefer to hit the hardware.
It's a Dell poweredge 1950

What is room temp? 70 degrees is preferred. If not fans will try to make it 70 degrees
That will probably yield lots of results for genuine/authentic/factory fans for a 1950.
Try "fans 1950 mod quiet"

Although I was once a dab hand at soldering "once de soldered all the memory chips on an early IBM XT and replaced them with new. I rendered it worthless. Lol
Multilayered circuits wasn't taught at college.
It sounds to me that I need explicit instructions to whom I should purchase from etc. So I don’t have to think a great deal. Thinking these days a panic I hope you don’t mind.
