Need software to track missing email aerts.
Was wondering if anyone knows of some software for Windows that can be configured to notify when daily alert emails do not arrive when expected?
My thought is a program that uses POP3 or IMAP to interrogate the mailbox based on a set schedule looking for specific email. The actual email program of course would be configured to leave the email on the server for 10 days or something.
Thanks - Al

Unfortunately PageAlert Exchange Email Monitor processes email that is received. It also needs an Exchange Server.
We need a monitor that determines that email has not been received based on some rules.

What is your email service if you're not using Exchange?

The requirement is for several different sites that we support, not just our own.
Email clients include MS Outlook, Outlook Express and Thunderbird. The majority of users are using either POP3 or IMAP to connect directly to the hosting provider mail boxes.
Only a couple of our larger clients are using Exchange.
