Thunderbird Refresh

I'm using Thunderbird with Pop3, and when I delete messages using a different client elsewhere, the thunderbird still shows them there and I can't find a refresh??

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Has the different client got a setting for delete messages from server when deleting locally

Its a  c# code-only pop3 app which just sends a raw pop3 command to the server to delete the message, does that help you?

So this is your own code? You should post what you have or give us a clue to what you are actually using instead of having to guess.

Are you sure you are passing the correct message id and are you issuing a QUIT command?
Are you getting a successful delete message back?

They are definitely getting deleted with the pop3 cmd, they're not getting listed by the pop3 list cmd anyway after the delete, its just TB seems to keep displaying them...

You are using the same user credentials? Bit weird.
What email account is it - Gmail or anything?

Silas2Author Commented:
hMailServer. Is there no refresh button in TB? Or a Sync button?
0
GaryCommented:
Ahh I misunderstood you, I thought you mean TB was still downloading them.
No you cannot sync email with POP3 only IMAP.

Silas2Author Commented:
So they stay in the TB even thought they've been deleted off server?
0
GaryCommented:
Yes - it is a local copy.  If you can move to IMAP then you can do a sync with the email server which would remove any deleted messages.
POP3 doesn't have anything with which to sync message ID's
