"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think your question is too general for a specific answer.

>Where can I get initial data?

If realestate is what the site is and you are in the U.S., you will use an mls (Multiple Listing Service) idx.  While you can find this data on other sites, you can not legally screen scrape.  MLS data is highly protected.

>Different ways of marketing to increase number of users

Having great, unique content and value proposition.  Typically "me too" sites will not do well unless there is something really great you offer that is not found on other sites.

There are many  multiple ways to answer your question.  Real Estates, insurance, softgoods, specialty items, toys, games, housewares etc will all have completely different answers.  If you are using Real Estate as an example but you are really doing something else, then the advice given will not help very much.  I don't think you go into a new real estate site this casually though.

Please let us know what site you really want to start, what research have you done already?

I have a really good answer here on general SEO http:Q_28201608.html#a39374636

You have a good answer for marketing.  I have no idea how middle east real estate works.

I have a similar answer http:Q_28259224.html#a39550047

If you can provide some links for middle eastern real estate sites that might be in english? perhaps I can help.  If you can find this on your own and look at the Terms Of Service that will give you a clue.

Quickly looking at and it looks like they are using their own data and not a webservice.  Screen scraping is not something I personally would help with in a case like this.

Good luck on your project.

you'll always want to check the source of your data to see what legal protection it has. Generally it is frowned upon to just "take" data from another site without giving any credit. A better approach would be to form partnerships with these sources, explain to them why its beneficial to both parties that you use their data (maybe you can offer more traffic to their site a you have a better way of using their data).

doing a quick google search for "middle east real estate listings" yields countless results, try going through some of them and see if a partnership is worth forming
