MAC Flash Storage

I have 250 GB Flash storage in my MAC computer.

I wonder if the data is compressed in the flash storage, I mean is it going to be equivalent of 500 GB in a PC hard drive ?

Thanks

Macs do not automatically compress data, so it will have the same capacity as a PC.

If you want to compress data, right click on the file (or enclosing folder) and select Compress from the contextual menu. It will the compress the file or folders as a zip archive.

so for the files and folders that I do not use frequently , I should just compress them so that they do not take more space?
