vcenter script / perl

For the below script:

Can you run it from any workstation with perl installed (in the same domain as the vcenter), or do you need to install perl on your vcenter server, and then run it from that system?

Does it matter where you save the pl file to on disc?

This script can be executed on any computer that has PERL installed. It does not have to be a vCenter Server, it does not have to be a computer in your domain, it can be a Windows, Linux, Mac Os, or Unix computer - providing it has a supported working version of PERL installed.

It does not matter where you save the pl file on disk, just make sure you have PERL binaries in your path.

Can you elaborate on the syntax required to run the actual script?

./ --server [SERVER] --username [USERNAME] --recommend_check_level sslf --cos 1 --vm 1
