Rasberry PI Mail server

Hi there,

Is there a Mail server I can load on my rasberry PI?
and which would be the best one?

Can I use the Rasberry PI OS or will I need to install another OS?

Sorry just starting on Rasberry PI to get a more power efficient server running for me..

Thank you for your support..

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can use Debian and install a mail server with that ...  This guide is excellent for getting started: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MailServer

Failing that, this guide is quite interesting as well: http://www.ducky-pond.com/posts/2012/Jul/installing-citadel-on-rpi/

You need to install another OS; for example Rasbian (Debian)

There's a link to a beginners guide there as well ;-)

Well yes ... If you install the Rasbian one, the "Debian" is built-in ... If I understand your question correctly.
