how to restore a wss 3.0 account deleted from site collection.

Hello Experts
a user left the company and his AD account and WSS have been deleled.
For a log time the WSS and Nintex Workflow 2007 were using his WSS account as task owner on a workflow.
Since the WSS account has gone i'm receiving a lot of worklow failures.

Failed to send notification. Cannot get the full name or e-mail address of user "myDOMAIN\name.surname".

how can i restore just the WSS account?

thanks!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,
is your SharePoint site configured to use Windows Authentication?
If yes, afaik there is no chance to create only the WSS user as the user in WSS is mapped to an existing Windows Account.

What I can think of is to re-create the user in AD, sync it with WSS and then deactivate the account in AD.
