Can you give some pointers on what should be checked around vsphere clusters, HA, replication? I.e. some specific checks for risk assurance? And ideas on what can go wrong?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

VMware HA does not function correctly.

1. Check DNS resolution, forward and reverse DNS lookups work.

2. You can ping your isolation address. (e.g. default gateway)

Risks - Not Test VMware HA, does not failover correctly.

See here for troubleshooting, this is a massive subject....
