I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

How long have you left it??

It can easily take 10-15 minutes or even longer to work out the updates needed etc.

If not try the link below, this normally fixes it

Go to control panel, Admistrator tools,  Start Services:

Then Stop the following service:

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

And then start it.

You can try setting the Windows Updates to download but not install:

1. Right-click My computer, go to Properties
2. Click the Windows Update tab.
3. Select "Download Updates, but let me install them" or something to that effect.

Sorry I was so slow getting back...my email went down and wasn't getting notifications...

North_....IE8 did the trick...had to download it to another machine...I guess IE6 is
absolutely useless for anything on the net....

Got it downloaded, installed and I'm not getting updates just fine...

Many thanks...
