Formula

Hello trying to adjust this formual for my conditional formatting.  I have =SEARCH("TS",C5)
which turns a cell yellow, it works fine when there is just TS in C5, but sometime I will have data like "TSRD" RUST, -TS, +TSSN,  the first, third and four data would turn the cell yellow, however the second would stay dark green.

Try
=NOT(ISERROR(find("TS",C5)))

I tried the formula again, as per your other post.  It worked fine for me.

You could also try:

=ISNUMBER(SEARCH("TS",C5))

but you shouldn't need the ISNUMBER part.

In cell C5, i have a formula in it =IF(Sheet14!AA5="",Sheet14!AA6,Sheet14!AA5), current it is returning TSSN, but it is not showing yellow in C24, it should be.

Are you saying this is the intended behavior?  You would want TSRD, -TS and +TSSN to turn yellow, while RUST is not affected?

Try using Format only cells that containSpecific TextcontainingTS.

If you want to stick with a formula, you can use the following:

=FIND("TS",C5)

If you are saying RUST should trigger this rule and be highlighted yellow, then use the following"

=AND(FIND("T",D5),FIND("S",D5))
