Please see the attached image and describe the options for Acct Name. I think NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM should be selected, but I like to know what is NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE for?

Mike-VAIO is my computer name. Maybe, This is what I need to enter instead of NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM this because I will be using windows authentication.

What are sample entries I can make to handle this error?

Thank you.

Hi,

Just check your machine name and account name are same.  If that's the case change your machine name and re start the installation.

I got this info from a different forum.

Hope this Helps

How?

In command prompt

type hostname - will give you the computer name
Type Set Username - will give you the user name

If both are same, change the computer name and re start the installation.

Create a new local user or domain user account with a strong password and use it as the service account on the “Server Configuration” screen of the SQL Server 2008 setup.

A strong password is one that has a combination of letters in uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters.
