sdsftp email equivalent.

I found a package developed by sdstuber on here which allows me to send data results to a remote ftp server.

Have been using it for over a year and it works flawless.

Is there an equivalent that will send out an email not as an attachment, but in the body of the email

If you just want to send an email from the database, there are several ways.

The easiest is UTL_MAIL.  It requires a little setup:

You are limited to the size of the message with it.

The other is UTL_SMTP.  The same Expert, sdstuber, has several Articles on UTL_SMTP:
My article on sending attachments includes an example of embedding the text directly in the body of the email

If there is some other feature in particular that you're looking for, just ask.

Also note, in 12c (or patched 11gR2)  there are enhanced authentication methods built in which obsolete my article on authentication methods.  I have yet to update it or write a sequel with the new information.  All of that info is still correct, it's just that it's not necessary to implement it yourself.
