asked on
multiple domain for single email address/mailbox
Hi,
We have our main domain, we'll call it company.com. and we have a mailbox with this domain, we'll call it bob@company.com.
But we also have bad spelling variations of that domain, like:
companie.com
compayn.com
We were advised by our domain/email host that we'll need to create a forwarding address for each of the bad spelling domains to forward to the correct main domain. This obviously involved a lot of overhead. is there a simpler way to accomplish this, maybe through dns settings?
Thanks!

thanks! that makes the most sense!
It depends on the mail server.
Exchange is easy as you can add the domain to the server and create a rule to add the additional email addresses.
Other systems may require you to add the aliases by hand.
