Change Server name that is member of the domain

I have windows 2008 server, that is member of windows domain.
I need to rename the server, since it has the default name after the OS was installed.
The concern is I installed Exchange server on it.

Would renaming the server, does not impact negatively the exchange server.?

Thank you

+1 for Do not do it! Exchange WILL MOST DEFINITELY break!

It isn't supported to change the name of a machine with Exchange installed.
Therefore if you want to change its name, you will have to build a replacement machine.
