Hello!
I have taken over the role of exchange admin at a new company, and I am leaning heavily on experts exchange for assistance (which has worked great so far!).
We have a public folder called 'M.I.S' that has several sub-folders in it that our department uses regularly. My boss would like to rename this root MIS folder to 'IT Department'.
I have taken ownership of the folder so I see the option to rename in outlook (no option to rename is ESM). I am wondering however what effect this may have on users of the folder.
Could users have created any kind of shortcuts or other items that reference the old name of the folder that may break once I make this change? Has anyone one else made a similar change and had issues? Really just a matter of looking before leaping, small change but you never know!
