Wireless can be available in Windows 2003 in laptop PC ?

Expert,
I installed wireless driver in Windows 2003 r2 sp2 in laptop. There is a red cross on the icon of wireless after enabling it. i do not know if the wireless can work in Win 2003. If so, how can i solve it to connect internet. Thank you.

Never did that with W2K3 but I believe it does have that component.
What do you see in Device Manager?  Right Mouse click on Computer, select Manage and look in Device manager for wireless device.  Does it have a yellow Exclamation Mark?

Did you get the wireless driver from notebook manufacturer or windows Update.  WU drivers usually are troublesome.

My notebook does not have W2k3 on it but there is an LED that I can touch that will disable wireless and turn red.  do you have any red LEDs on your notebook?
