If it truly is the exact same video file playing 5 out of 6 times--- as simple as it sounds, I'd try rebooting your PC. &nbsp;If the problem persists then look into 1) codec related conflicts, and 2) media player conflicts. &nbsp;Try using <a href="http://www.raymond.cc/blog/fix-video-playback-problems-by-removing-bad-codecs/" rel="ugc">one these programs</a> to help identify the issue. &nbsp;Again, using an alternative (reliable) player rather than fight ongoing codec issues may be a better approach. &nbsp;If you want to continue the fight, try uninstalling other video player/creator programs until you locate the culprit.

I have built a brand new PC which will be used to connect to my TV some I can play music, pictures and videos.<br />

Sometimes when I drag a video clip into the playlist and press the play button the sound will play but I just get a black screen. Other times it works just fine
