ASP.net VB.net Cookies that log user in

Hi

I have never used cookies before in an ASP.net web app.
When a user signs in I want to include a check box that has
"keep me signed" as its text. How do I use cookies to save
the username and password for the specific computer so that
when the site loads on that machine it automatically brings
up that username and password?
