Crypto Locker

Hi,

2 users have been infected with the malware crypto locker. It can be clean but the problems is the office files are encrypted and to decrypt them they need to pay or else they won't be able to open it. Of course, i told them not to pay.

After searching on the internet for solution there is this information we got on malwarebytes's site:

http://blog.malwarebytes.org/intelligence/2013/10/cryptolocker-ransomware-what-you-need-to-know

On our end we are at the point to reinstall from image but i was just wondering if you have encountered this issue and if you have found a solution.

The users have already been warned that their files will be lost after reinstalling as we have not found yet how to fix an issue with a 2048 bit encrypted file.

Files that have been mostly affected are office files but in Outlook, they can still read their emails and open excel or other office files normally so i guess folders that are targets might be the my documents folder.

Do you have anything to suggest ?

Just trying my luck here

Thanks
