When I installed windows 8 it insisted on creating a sign-in with a Windows account. &nbsp;I did so, but I quickly created another account that I used almost all the time.<br />

I can see some of the features of signing-in with a Windows account, but my thinking is that when you have access to the web like this, the web then has access to you. &nbsp;I have a lot of personal files on my machine I would not like broken into.<br />

Anyone have any practical advice on logging in with a Windows account - the pros and cons?

Windows 8 is a personal computer operating system developed by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems, with an emphasis on improving its user experience on tablets. In particular, these changes included a touch-optimized Windows shell based on Microsoft's "Metro" design language, the Start screen, a new platform for developing apps with an emphasis on touchscreen input, integration with online services, support for USB 3.0, Advanced Format hard drives, near field communications, and cloud computing.
