I need to implement SCOM 2012 in our environment.<br />
<br />
I wonder what kind of licences I need to purchase.<br />
<br />
obviously, I need a license for the server where SCOM will be installed on, I may need 2 SCOM servers for redundancy.<br />
We have about 300 servers, most of them Windows, and just few of them Linux.<br />

I am not sure if I need licenses for management packs, I mean I will have to install management packs for Domain controllers,Exchange server, Sharepoint,SQL... are those management packs free or I have to pay for them.?<br />

SCOM 2012 Licencing

Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2, based on the Microsoft Vista codebase, is the last 32-bit server operating system released by Microsoft. It has a number of versions, including including Foundation, Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, Web, HPC Server, Itanium and Storage; new features included server core installation and Hyper-V.
