sync calendar with outlook 2011 for mac

I created an email account and I'm trying to configure it on Outlook 2011 for Mac.  I know that recently added imap support, so I've got mail configured this way.  However, it won't sync calendar or contacts on the Mac.  I realize that this isn't supported, but are there any workarounds to get it working?

I want to be able to add things to my calendar on the Mac and have it show up on my calendar.

IMAP doesnt sync calendar and contacts as a protocol.  Generally there is another connector that you'd need to sync the calendar and contacts.

As far as I know, MS has not provided any tools to do so.

i had to upgrade to office365 to get this working.  Thanks!

for others out there, syncs calendar, contacts and email on everything BUT an iMac.  :(  so if you don't have an iMac, you'll love
