I need to change the local admin account on 200 servers - but the password has to be different - so no GPP!

Thanks

Would you be able to use a script to change them all to random characters or do you need to log the passwords?  Have you considered creating a new account and disabling the admin account?

The local admin account is just a placeholder name.  The accounts are local administrators and i'm looking for something that will change them all, with a different password for each, cheers.

Found the answer.  Use sysinternals pspasswd and loop each server.

There is a very good solution provided by the SANS institute as well using Powershell which uses random passwords with the ability to recover them:  http://www.sans.org/windows-security/2013/08/01/reset-local-administrator-password-automatically-with-a-different-password-across-the-enterprise
