Found a client machine not showing the up to date GAL in outlook 2010.
Working fine on others plus OAW is ok.

The exchange server (when updated GAL) show:

OALGen truncated or dropped properties for entry 'USER' in address list '\.Custom Add List' because they exceeded the configured size limits for the version 4 offline address list.  The affected MAPI ids are:   8008.
- \Server”

when running a manual update of the GAL ion outlook i get task MS exchange server' reported error (0x80072f06) : unknown error 0x80072f06

Ideas?

I suggest you to enable diagnostic logging to Expert level for OAL Generator and then check the application logs for error. If you find errors, you can rebuild it again by running following commands

Get-OfflineAddressbook | Update-OfflineAddressbook
Get-ClientAccessServer | Update-FileDistributionService

Wait  for some time. If no errors, then i would suggest to reconfigure user profile again.
