Windows 8 with HyperV losing Virtual connection via H-V manager

Hi all,

I'm using Windows 8 on a HP ProBook 6470b, 8 GB and SSD.
Running Hyper-V with 4 Windows 2012 VMs for practice purpose.

It worked perfectly but after 3 weeks it started to get the message shown in the attached file.

The VM startes and I can use it for 2-3 minutes, but then the GUI freezes and shows that it connecting to the VM. After doing that 2-3 times the message:

"Cannot connect to the virtual machine. Try to connect again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator..."

When I try to access the Hyper-V folder where the Virtual Hard Disks is located I get that I do no have access, but can access anyway.

I've made a local user and added it to Admin and HyperV admin - No help
Configured Norman Security Suite 10 to exclude the path of the VHDX files and folders - No help
Installed patches suggested on different Internet Topics - No help

I cant wipe my computer and start over.

In advanced, thank you.

Hi Netflo,

Thak you for posting :o)

I have Norman security suite 10 installed and I did not turn it off nor uninstall it.
That I did, and it seems to be the solution so fare, was to exclude this:

*.AVHD
*.AVHDX
*.ISO
*.VFD
*.VFDX
*.VHD
*.VHDX
*.VSV
*.XML
c:\Program files\Hyper-V
c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Hyper-V
c:\Windows\System32\mmc.exe
VMMS.EXE
VMWP.EXE

It have been working for 1 hours now and I really hope it will stay that way !!
