Proxy/internal redirect using IIS

We have Exchange 2013 and Dynamics CRM2013 installed on the same server.
Some might say this is not wise to do, but that's not what the ticket is about :)

What we now have is Exchange on the PUBLIC URL:

https://remote.our-company.com/Remote (or  /owa, whatever)

The CRM is only available for the internal URL:
http://companyname/OurCRM

We want to make the CRM available on an external URL, using SSL, so the new iPhone apps for Dynamics CRM 2013 can access it.

What I want is a URL like: https://remote.our-company.com/CRM, which internall proxies it to http://companyname/OurCRM

That way, we can use the same EV SSL certificate.

is this possible?

I have changed the bindings, assigned an external IP. That works.

Can't you just point a new virtual directory on the default web site at the same place as the virtual directory on the Dynamics web site? Web sites are just flat file information and have to be stored somewhere.

Simon.

Hi redworks,

I am sorry to say this but I will not recommend doing what Sembee2 has suggested. Dynamics CRM is a different beast not just a web site.

I recommend you implement IFD and then point your app to IFD external URL.

Also could you please clarify what is EV SSL certificate?

Regards,
Chinmay.
