Internet Access & Connection problem under Window 8.1 / IE11

(1) After upgrading to Window 8.1 Pro (from Window 8.0 Pro with IE 10), all my application programs, including MS Office 2010 (failed to  access online templates), MS Lync (failed to run application), iTune (failed to access iTune Store) - failed to establish internet connection when I tried to run the applications under IE11.

Have anyone experienced such problems under W8.1 / IE11? and any technical advice will be much appreciated.

(2) I have a lot of internet access problems under IE11 and failed to  access some internet websites such  APPLE, Google, or even BING etc. even though I include these websites under the compatibility view option of IE11 as suggested by MS.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

I did call the Microsoft support hotline and was advised that such problems were known under IE11 and the best alternative is to re-install back to W8.0 / IE 10. Is there other option available to solve the W8.1 /  IE 11internet access  problems?

Many thanks.

First, install another browser eg Firefox or Chrome and see if you can browse the web ok.

The other thing to check is to turn off things like "Tracking Protection" which is under Safety in the menu bar

btw I'm running 8.1 with IE11 with no issue but during the upgrade from 8.0 i did manually go through and uncheck some of the options to do with IE that I've mentioned above.
