Exchange 2003 calendar item not being backed up by Back up exec

We have a users recurring calendar item which is currently scheduled for dec 2013 which is not being backed up in backup exec.
Backup exec reports all ok and says granular full backup was succesful. i can restore the calendar to PST and when i compare calendars (item was accepted back in july 2013) this one particular event doesnt show.

the concern is that there are items which arent being backed up and not being reported either. The email server is exchange 2003 with backup exec 2012

Backup Exec all updates and hotfixes applied? Get a maintenance windows and run LiveUpdate, then reboot. Does this resolve your issue?

hi all

this was due to the backup exec 2012 restore to PST option. The items would get restore but they didnt have their time stamps / start and end date.

 When i restored to mailbox i could see all items. after restoring to a mailbox i was then able to also export to pst and once again all was ok.
