A bit more information is required. Is it a MySQL server or Microsoft SQL Server?
Is it an IIS web server or an Apache web server?
What language are you using on web pages? ASP, ASPX, PHP, Perl, Java?
For non-Microsoft scripting, you need to use FreeTDS add-on to connect to SQL databases:

If using asp.net then you can use the ADODB v7 objects to connect to sql.
e.g.
USe ADODB.Connection to create a connection to a SQL database.
Use ADODB.Command to send commands to a SQL server.
Use ADODB.Recordset to store SQL table contents.
Use connection.Open to open a SQL table
use table.AddNew to add a row to SQL table
use table.Fields("name") to get or set fields in a table
Use table.Update to write changes to a table.
etc.
