Hi

I have installed a RokAjax Search function or button on my website. However it is not working well - please see (http://a1telecomms.co.za/)

When i try search for something or try type in anything for that matter - it keeps search or spinning around as if its doing something but actually not, it has worked before in the past but i am not too sure why this is happening now.

How do i fix this issue??

Your application or website rely on your database to deliver information about products and services to your customers. You can’t afford to have your database lose performance, lose availability or become unresponsive – even for just a few minutes.

Who handles the SQL queries? Sounds like its not you?  Could also be a database issue. You'll need to do some further digging

I would start with what the query is and try running it on the database server via an interface such as phpMyAdmin or MySQL Workbench.  If that works then you'll need to look at the server etc etc until you can narrow it down.  At this stage it doesn't look to be anything to do with your ajax, javascript or webpage but rather the server and database.

My server host has confirmed that the query & MySQL Workbench is fine - errors or error logs, so it cant be that......I have also updated RockAjax Search plugin to its latest version but still not working.

I'm pretty sure it's your query.... this doesn't make sense:
WHERE (( LIKE '%%' OR LIKE '%%' OR LIKE '%%' OR i. LIKE '%%'))

Have you recently tried to update joomla? What have you changed? These kind of errors don't happen on their own.

yes. I have updated Joomla & rokAjax Search plugin. Everything is up to date - that's why i am so puzzled why it is not working.

See attached.

Sorry not off the top of my head but it does look like it's not compatible with that version of joomla. Can you confirm that?

What version of joomla are you running? Says rokajax is compatible with 2.5 and 3.x
Have you contacted rokajax directly on this issue?
