Hello,
I'm trying a very simple code with bootstrap but don't understand why it is not working....

I checked that it wasn't a path error of the css.

all this running with apache 2.2.17 / Windows 2008 R2.

when I directly open the .html file from Windows, it works

when I open the file from a browser, it doesn't  (IE10, Chrome,...)

getting crazy...

the code:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <title>test</title>
       <link rel="stylesheet" href="bootstrap/css/bootstrap.min.css" media="screen"/>
    </head>
    <body>
        <div class="container">
            <div class="row">
                <div class="col-md-8">Article</div>
                <div class="col-md-4 hidden-sm hidden-xs">Sidebar</div>
            </div>
        </div>
    </body>
</html>

Is that your only code?  It works for me in chrome http://jsbin.com/UYoXolE/1/edit?html,output

Did you upload bootstrap to your server?   Can you surf to bootstrap/css/bootstrap.min.css?
