how to condition a section crytsl report

I know there is a way to place a condition in CR so that the section or the field within the section is displays (or printed) or not.  Haven't worked with CR lately, please advice how to do it.

note: we use Crystal Report within Visual Basic 2012 (we also have the core apps Crystal Reports 11 but the question is not based on this version).

Yes.

SECTION
Right click the section in the left margin
Click SECTION EXPERT
Click the FORMULA BUTTON to the right of SUPPRESS
Enter the condition so it evaluates as true when you want to suppress
Click SAVE AND CLOSE
CLick OK

FIELD
RIght click the field
Click FORMAT FIELD
Click the COMMON TAB
Click the FORMULA BUTTON to the right of SUPPRESS
Enter the condition so it evaluates as true when you want to suppress
Click SAVE AND CLOSE
CLick OK
