Dynamics CRM 2011 Email Router Failure due to WCF Issue

I have run into a problem with my Dynamics E-Mail Router Configuration that is detailed here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2501732

Unfortunately, the solution listed in that KB Article is not acceptable. We have a complex deployment, and everything works perfectly, except for this email router problem.  

We cannot make the change this KB article says to make. That will be a show stopper and is not possible.

Has anyone found a way to leave all of the host headers and certificates intact, while finding a way around this problem?

Can the material listed at the following website http://keithelder.net/2008/04/28/configuring-wcf-and-iis-7-with-http-bindings-and-multiple/ be applied to this situation?

The CRM documentation is very clear in that multiple bindings for the CRM website are not supported. I have not tried the steps in the article you refer. However I recommend that you don't follow the steps. If you do you will move your CRM deployment further in the realms of unsupported. You may later encounter other issues.

I'm curious as to why removing the extra bindings is a show stopper.

I was able to work around the issue by handling the DNS entries differently and making some other changes.
