Can someone please help me understand how to achieve the following setup using a Cisco SG300 switch.

I am wanting to prioritise traffic for live streaming (for broadcast) but am not sure how exactly the QoS settings work on this switch.

The switch has several vlans but I am not worried about prioritising traffic over the LAN as such, just over the internet connection.

We have a 50Mb fibre connection which runs via a firewall which is connected to a single port in the switch.

What are the step by step instructions on how to ensure the live streaming is not interrupted by other users consuming large amounts of internet bandwidth?

QoS really needs to be prioritized from end-to-end.  This means you'd have to configure QoS on the router too.

I'd have a read of this...

 http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/WAN_and_MAN/QoS_SRND/QoSIntro.html

...then this, from page 247...

http://www.videosec.com/Cisco-support/SF300-administartion-guide-en.pdf

That should give you an idea of what you need to do and how you should implement it.
