Hi all,

We have an interesting issue here. In the morning we are having issues with users not being able to connect thier outlook 2007 clients to the exchange server. This only happens in the morning when users are first logging on. After a while things seem to sort themselves out and users can then connect. When looking at the exchange server running a netstat -e -s shows a very high number of failed connection attempts. Bouncing the server lowers this number but after a very short amount of time the number rises again.
I have checked the IO of the server and the exchange server doesn't have high IO reads and the performance monitor doesn't show any spikes or nothing untowards. I am able to ping the server via DNS from the effected clients. I can't really see anything in the event viewer either. As mentioned previously, this only seems to happen in the morning when users are first logging on. Does this point to more of a network issue?
Does anyone have and tips on how to troubleshoot this issue.
