Vmware Vclound usage meter collection keeps failing.

I keep receiving email notifications about a collection failing with the following message.

A collection from bv-vm-1.mydomain.com, begun at xxxx-xx- 6:15:00, failed at xxxx-x-xx 06:15:00. The host certificate doesn't match the certificate you accepted. Please edit the server on the Manage Page Products Tab.Usage Meter will wait 300 seconds and retry up to 2 more times.
com.sun.xml.internal.ws.client.ClientTransportException: HTTP transport error: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Thank you to anyone who may be able to assist.

I have not personally experienced any issues with the Metering tool, simply just works. The error message however has been encountered before whilst dealing with OPsMgr issues.

Please see the link below, the problem occurred as OpsMgr could not contact VCenter, My guess is this is probably the same issue being faced by Metering tool.

Question has a verified solution.
