sends an email alert to the Administrators when an account is locked or the password of a user has expired.

Dear all,

I need a simple script to run on Windows Server 2003 that sends an email alert to the Administrators when an account is locked or the password of a user has expired.

We have multiple domain controllers in the same domain and users authenticate with them. Is there a way so that Administrators be informed on Windows Server 2003? Also we do not want to install third party software.

Regards,

You can do this automatically from the event viewer.

Find the event you want to report, right click and choose attach task to this event. One is send an e-mail.
