I have Audition 3.0, had a computer problem and had to re install. I downloaded the files from Adobes website 4.6 gb of them. I followed the install procedure. Twice. When trying to start I receive the error ....
"The program Can't start because SharedControls.dll is missing from your computer."
Any ideas how to deal with this.

Adobe (I just bought their Acrobat X1), says they don't support  Audition 3.0. What a load of crap, I own 3 other Adobe products. Audition is now only offered as a subscription .... what a rip.

SharedControls.dll file can not be found, your Windows will get this SharedControls.dll error and prompt you a warning if you attempt to open the associated file or application. This error can not only stop you using some service but also affect your PC functionings. This file is used to control the functioning of an application or Operating System. Usually, this error appears when the system registry gets some problems. If you allow this error to continue, your system may freeze or even crash. Therefore, you need to fix this error as well as repair the damaged registry.
