Would anyone know how or where I can find information on creating a Joomla template with a dynamic custom module layout from scratch? <br />

What I'm trying to do is create a master template with various module place-holders. This will allow me to drop in different contents, whether it be a logo, login form, banners etc into the required position depending on client's taste and requirements.<br />
<br />
I understand it involves modifying the <b>templateDetails.xml</b> file and linking these module positions to the <b>index.php</b> file through coding and that's exactly what I'm looking for, details as to how to code it.<br />
