I need to replace my damaged asa 5505 with another spare asa 5505 I have. On the spare I know I can copy the run config to from the damaged one. I have to upgrade the spare to version as well 8.4(2). What do I need to do specifically? Any good documentation or step by step guidelines and advice?
Thanks!

Take a backup of the faulty 5505 if possible
Backup and Restore a Cisco Firewall.

To upgrade see
Cisco ASA5500 Update System and ASDM (From ASDM)
or I prefer via command line
Cisco ASA5500 Update System and ASDM (From CLI)
