Your PC needs to restart.
Please hold down the power button.

a stop 0xC4 is DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION
a stop 0x5D is UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR

how old are these systems and what kind of hardware is in them?
sounds like something is not supported
Have you turned on the virtualzation in the CPU in the server BIOS?

These are Xeons,right?

Seth2740. Yes my research has turned up the same thing I'm thinking either a driver needs updating or unsupported.  Didn't know if there was a work around???

Pgm554

What will the virtualization in the CPU in the bios due ( I know
What it does ) but in reference to win svr 2012 R2???

I also enabled no execute data protection!!!

So guess I'm stuck then???
Yes the dell has Xeon in one of them the other 2 dells no and the HP's no
what processor models are we working with here?

enabling VT support in the bios is for hyper-v
can't see how this is related
if you had a cpu that didn't support VT then hyper-v just won't install
I am not trying to do Hyper-V I am trying to install Windows Server 2012 R2 - Windows Server 2012 is loaded but I get the Stop error when trying to install Win Svr 2012 "R2"...
understood...it was in response to the other person's comment

what model servers are we working with here?
there has to be some incompatibility somewhere with the hardware

are you attempting an in-place upgrade or clean install?

could also be a problem with the media you are using
So you're trying to do an in place upgrade?
The media is an ISO file that I have copied using Cyberlink by mounting the image as a drive letter and coping the files, using Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool and just using the writing software to burn an ISO file.

I have put it on DVD Disk and USB Jump Drives.

For the Servers:

Dell PowerEdge 2950 - Xeon Processor
Dell PowerEdge SC1425 -Xeon Processor
Dell PowerEdge SC430 - Dual Pentium D Processor

HP Proliant DL380 - Xeon Processor
HP Proliant DL380 - Xeon Processor

If you need Specifics on the processors I can look them up... Thanks for your help.. Google has got at me at stand still..

NOTE:  IS there a validator / Checker to run that tells what the hiccup or what check Microsoft is running as it installs that's stopping the install????
have you tried mounting that iso through the HP ilo or Dell DRAC?
that will rule out any issues during the copy/burn process
No I dont think I have ever done that... Are you talking about taking the disk that came with dell the uses the linux kernel to load and then it ask you for the disk etc???

I have never loaded an HP before I normal a DEll person...
i've had some exposure to HP hardware but more experienced with dell

that 2950, does it have a DRAC?  you can mount that 2012 R2 iso and boot from it directly
Specs on Dell 2950

CARD (CIRCUIT)..., PERC5I, SERIAL ATTACHED SCSI..., 1950, 2950
 Cable SASX4-PERC5X4-X4BKPLN
BACKPLANE..., SERVER, SERVER CHASSIS..., DELL2950, 3.5X6SAS
Card Backplane, Key, TOE, 2PORT Enterprise Systems Group

PROCESSOR..., 80556K, XEON WOODCREST..., 5130, LGA771, BURN 2...

HP:

It has iLO ethernet port in the back
Smart Array 6i
is the drac connected and configured?
I would redownload the ISO and try a different burn.

If you have Technet or MSDN,download Win 8.1 and test, basically the same kernel.
NO but I think there is some tools out there... What is the iLO in HP Server Proliant DL380... It is the lights In Lights Out I think it says in the bios when it boots up... I have to research it... Its just a boot to the network port??? Or is there more too it??? Thought you might know...  I wonder if loading there the Dell OS Manager if it will bypass the violation check in the install or once loaded it just going to fall anyway because the OS is going to scan for invaild drivers and hardware???
ok...have you tried burning the iso directly instead of using tools?
i did see that 2950 does support 2012 R2 but the support page doesn't show anything later than windows 2008 R2 for downloads.  without a drac, can't see any other way to install

on newer servers, you would use the lifecycle controller but didn't exist at that time
the older open manager utility for OS installation shows 2008/2008 R2 and nothing newer

for HP, if you can access the ilo, you can do a remote session and attach an iso
Yes I have... Well kinda if I do directly it wont boot up on some of the servers... It doesnt detect the boot files it does when I use the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool...

Guess I should figure out how to make the disk is bootable... as it is burning the ISO file????

You Said:  "i did see that 2950 does support 2012 R2 but the support page doesn't show anything later than windows 2008 R2 for downloads.  without a drac, can't see any other way to install"

Response:  I am trying to find the Dell Open Manage that installs the software for me while it puts the drivers in for the PERC5... what is Card Backplane, Key, TOE, 2PORT Enterprise Systems Group I wonder on the Dell... yes no Darc...

If I install directly from the disk... As I said before... Using the MS tool to make it bootable from the ISO file... Direct from disk it goes thru bios then starts right into the loading and as soon as the windows symbol comes up it goes right the Stop Violations error and reboots...

I do have access to the iLo on the HP but i dont know how to use it... My first HP servers... I have 2 that are exactly the same...
where did you get this iso from?
you shouldn't have to use any tools to make it bootable
when you burn it to a dvd, you boot directly from it
I have tried many things updating drivers do doing the iLo for the HP's no go... Its like the servers will never get past Server 2012 and R2 is not obtainable...
Still researching problem none of the answers given have fixed the issue...

Just out of curiosity ,have you tried turning off the PERC,and trying a SATA drive to install as a test?

If it works, you got an issue with the perc.
