Hi All,

In the new Exchange Server 2013 Enterprise Edition, how does the compliance features, including archive mailboxes, discovery searches, or DLP rules comapred against the 3rd party application like Symantec Enterprise Vault ?

I wonder how do they used in the current production environment.

Its same as in Exchange 2010 for archiving and discovery solutions. But they implemented DLP in Exchange 2013, cost wise better to use Exchange 2013, because there is no separate cost for this features.

if you are not an issue with cost, then you may go to third party like symantec. that would be better for environment.

Thanks.

Actually I hace just notice that in the Exchange Serve r2013, there is no Single Instance Storage (SIS) hence there will be large disk space required :-/

I guess Microsoft only thinks that the Exchange server disk I/O process can be reduced by eliminating the SIS, that is a big mistake I would say.
