reset asa

I'm trying to completely erase an asa of everything and start fresh. when I do the write-erase command and confirm it - I'm unfortunately getting constant feedback interrupting the screen and cant seem to stop it

Do I now have to recover the enable passowrd or set a new one? I cannot enter enable mode, I dont have the password. I thought it would allow me to "enable password" after the factory reset.
