Can I change admin password on Cisco callmanager 8.5.1?

I'm in need of changing the administrator account password for our Callmanager group and am wondering if there are any specific procedures for this or can i just change it and move on?  I've heard from some people to NEVER change the password that it would break stuff, but I'm in going to have to for security reasons.  Anybody have experience doing this or have things I should walk through first?  Thanks in advance!
