Hello Experts-

Is there a way to force IE9 to run as IE8?  The developer tools is nice to use to run in those previous modes but that is more of a debugger.  I am interested in forcing IE9 as IE8.

Thanks-
Luke

Hello Luke,

As far as I know, there is no option to "force IE9 to run as IE8" but you can check an option in IE9 called "Compatibility View Mode" that allows you to view certain webpages as if they were shown in an earlier version of your IE browser.

Or you can go to IE main meniu Tools > Compatibility View settings and then check the option "Display all websites in Compatibility view", so all your visited websites will be shown using this viewing mode.

Good luck!

Thanks Argenti, that is what I had assumed, I was hoping there was a way around it instead of using Compatibility Mode.
