Upload file to web page form with progress

I'm new to Java, and want to be able to upload a file from my PC to a website form.

I've been reading about how to post data to a form, but don't know how to report on the progress.

What Im trying to do it put a icon on the system tray which reports back on the progress of the upload.

Any ideas?
