Class Reunion - Online Ticket System -> Paypal - MyEvent.com Alternatives

Hello!

I am involved in helping a committee create a website for collection of funds for a class reunion. I have seen myevent.com, and like the full integration of a website, ticket booking system, and collection of funds, but they have a two week delay on collection of money. As far as I know they also have real tickets that they send to you.

I have only seven days (from today) to put up a fully functional site that will include secure ticket booking and direct deposit to Paypal.

I have seen some good scripts such as one at phpjabbers.com @ http://www.phpjabbers.com/ticket-booking-script/features.php

I also have seen a ticket system from the UK @
http://company.ticketscript.com/uk/

As I already mentioned, for the class reunion (that the committee meets at 11/14/2013 we will need a fully functional online ticket system. MyEvents.com really would have been great, but one of the committee members mentioned that they delay the funds for 14 days, so there is obviously an issue with timing there.

I am in the US and need a good solution for a fully functional, secure and reliable, class reunion ticket system. The above posted are some of the ones I have found, but I really want to see all the options out there. I have seen other ticket systems and scripts that are non-US based, and am looking for all options.

If you are an expert at this, or have some inside knowledge on what the best sites or scripts are, please let me know.

The lady I have been speaking to on the committee would like to stay Paypal-based to collect the money. The PHPJabbbers.com script seems to include Paypal-integration and may be the best suited fit.  I need to know the best of the best.

Please help me find the best alternatives for myevent.com for class reunions and other scripts that are compatible with Paypal (as requested by the class reunion committee.)

I appreciate the assistance in advance. Please help me find the best, and quickly.

Thanks, and have a great day!!!

Not so much an answer but things to be aware of.
There is nothing wrong the Jabber script and it is widely used.
All the sites like myevent.com have a lead in before payment, 14 days is very short and in reality they will usually have an excuse to extend this.  Many of these organisations can keep your money for months before releasing it but none of them will make an immediate payment.
This is also true with PayPal - unless you have a good history they could very easily put a hold on the funds (especially true if you suddenly have lots of payments arriving into your account) - the release time will vary, could be a few weeks, could be a few months.

You could throw up a simple page to take the payments and forward then to PayPal to take the payment - this is not a really difficult thing to do.  And is probably a better option if this is a one off thing, rather than trying to setup the jabber script.
