I have a asp.net site and which has options to upload pictures and documents.
User can upload any number of pictures or documents.

Till now I have folder called Uploaded inside my Asp.net project which stores all these files.
But now as the files are getting more and more, my client said he wants to use a different drive on the same server to store all uploaded files. For ex:   D:\Uploads.

Now, in the site I have used relative paths to show images or document because till now the upload folder was inside the project.

I need to know is it possible that use a folder which is not inside the project or ISS boundary.
Also, Do I need to change all the relative paths to absolute path now or any work around is there ?

I am using VS 2012

You should be able to create a virtual directory for you site, in IIS Admin, that points to the folder on the new server. If the VDir is at the same level in your site as the current physical folder, then you shouldn't need to modify your code at all.
