Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to connect a blackberry device with an exchange without using a BES server. If so, what's the configuration needed to do so?

Also, without BES it's possible to still get Calendar and Notes updates from Outlook?

What OS on the Blackberry?
If OS 10, then it supports ActiveSync natively.
Older versions will require a third party tool to do it properly. AstraSync is the main player here: http://www.astrasync.co.uk/

ActiveSync will give you Calendar. Notes is only available with BES.

BIS can kind of work with Exchange without a BES, but is a pretty pool solution and will not include Tasks etc.

Although for OS 7 and older, you can run BES Express, which is free.

Simon.
